The T20 Academy Knights boys' team were losing finalists in the Autumn Cup indoor competition held in Vienna at the weekend.

We entered two teams and both Knights & Cobras were in the top two at the end of the league phase.

The format allowed the bottom team in the league, Vienna CC, an opportunity to stay in the competition with a "quarter-final" play off match against 4th, Estonia.

Vienna won that game - their first win of the competition - and went on to win the whole event with a resurgent performance on Sunday.

The Academy boys, aged 11-14, were younger than many of their opponents and performed strongly throughout, with the both the Knights, in the final, and the Cobras, in the semi-final, being outmuscled by the physically stronger Vienna boys.

The next iteration of this competition will be in March 2026 and we look forward to returning for another tilt at the title.
