GENERAL NEWS
Tomorrow marks the restart of Academy small-group net sessions for Twenty20 Community Cricket, delivered at the Fastlane Cricket Centre in Tadworth.
Designed to support player development through focused coaching, these indoor cricket net sessions form a key part of our Academy pathway across Surrey.
New for the 2025–26 season, Saturday morning sessions are dedicated to our girls’ Academy players, including those selected for the MCC Foundation Guildford Hub. This initiative strengthens our commitment to growing girls’ cricket and providing clear development pathways within community cricket.
Sunday morning sessions are reserved for our boys’ Academy groups, with the second session in 2026 aimed specifically at players who will be representing our adult Academy squads during the upcoming summer cricket season.
All sessions are led by our Managing Director, Darren Talbot, and include the added benefit of focused written feedback for each player. This ensures clear development targets and personalised coaching support throughout the indoor season.
These Academy net sessions continue to play a vital role in supporting junior and youth cricket development in Surrey, bridging the gap between indoor training and competitive summer cricket.
