So far in this league we have seen Godalming take a convincing victory against Churt indoor due to the 57 extras that Churt gave away; this leaves them at the top of the table on net run rate.

Second in the table are Headley who played the Churt Cobras in a tight game. Headley only winning with 5 balls the spare Churt put a strong score on the board with Arran Higgins making 45 off just 22, another mention to Rhys Pritchard for his 2 catches and one run out which proved crucial in this game. However, Headley were seen through to the victory by Peter Poole and Rhys Pritchard.

Third are Chiddingfold who have played 2 games beating Wonersh CC by 4 wickets with a good all round batting performance. However, they did not score enough runs and lost too many early wickets against Churt Cobras, although Paul Hundley did make a good 40 off 27 balls. A good team batting performance by Churt saw them home.

In the Downsend league Oxted and Limpsfield are top, followed by Worcester Park CC and Kempton CC. The top two teams have played 2 and won both, with Worcester Park second on net run rate.

Oxted and Limpsfield have cruised through their games beating T20 Surrey Academy and BEC Old Boys comfortably. Worcester Park have also picked up both their victories against these same teams.

Mid table teams Kempton, Valley End and Chessington School are all on the same points but Valley End have a game in hand. Guilford Phoenix, BEC Old Boys and T20 Surrey Academy have yet to score a point.

Gordon Camels lead the way from Walton-On-Thames CC, Cobham Avorians CC and Chertsey CC.

Chertsey have played 4 games already but have only managed to win one of those encounters against Cobham Avorians who they have played twice and lost to as well.

Walton played Chertsey in their first game and had a comfortable victory with Dan Roberts and Nicholas Wilson both scoring low 30s to see Walton over the line with only 97 runs to beat due to a strong fielding performance.

In the game between the Gordon Camels and Chertsey, Camels’ Henry Mellor scored a quick and impressive 50 off 19 balls hitting 3 6s. He was backed up by Jamie Stevens who scored 34 off 18 to put a very strong score of 174 on the board, which proved too much for Chertsey.

In the Wimbledon (Thursday) league St. George’s University A are leading the pack on a maximum 16 points from their 4 games. They have only ever had to chase, so it will be interesting to see what happens if they are put into bat first.

Looking at the middle of the table Old Tenisonians sit on just 4 points, however they have shown great signs of promise as they managed to score 183 runs off 12 overs which is the top score in the league so far. This was helped by Adnan Shan who score 68 runs off 23 balls, which is also the top score in the league this season.

There are four teams on 4 points so next week is a perfect opportunity for teams to move up the league. It also is a chance for Guy’s & St Thomas’s Hospital CC to get off the mark.

At the top of the Wednesday Wimbledon league are Old Hamptonians who remain unbeaten and whose bowling display speaks for itself as they have not let a team score more than 80 runs. A special shout out to Christopher as Earle who took 3 wickets for 16 off his 3 overs against Spencer and to George Gregory who scored 25 off 14 not out.

At the bottom of the table, we have three teams joint on 4 points including Spencer who on the first week scored 139/3 off their 12 overs.

In the first week of the Croydon league, there was a rare tie with Croydon Chargers and Simba Six both scoring 148.
