SURREY MEN’S INDOOR CRICKET LEAGUE UPDATE

SURREY SLAM ICL- Amesbury

So far in this league we have seen Godalming take a convincing victory against Churt indoor due to the 57 extras that Churt gave away; this leaves them at the top of the table on net run rate.

Second in the table are Headley who played the Churt Cobras in a tight game. Headley only winning with 5 balls the spare Churt put a strong score on the board with Arran Higgins making 45 off just 22, another mention to Rhys Pritchard for his 2 catches and one run out which proved crucial in this game. However, Headley were seen through to the victory by Peter Poole and Rhys Pritchard.

Third are Chiddingfold who have played 2 games beating Wonersh CC by 4 wickets with a good all round batting performance. However, they did not score enough runs and lost too many early wickets against Churt Cobras, although Paul Hundley did make a good 40 off 27 balls. A good team batting performance by Churt saw them home.

SURREY SLAM ICL- DOWNSEND

In the Downsend league Oxted and Limpsfield are top, followed by Worcester Park CC and Kempton CC. The top two teams have played 2 and won both, with Worcester Park second on net run rate.

Oxted and Limpsfield have cruised through their games beating T20 Surrey Academy and BEC Old Boys comfortably. Worcester Park have also picked up both their victories against these same teams.

Mid table teams Kempton, Valley End and Chessington School are all on the same points but Valley End have a game in hand. Guilford Phoenix, BEC Old Boys and T20 Surrey Academy have yet to
