Headley CC played in a very close game against Wonersh CC in which Headley won the toss and chose to field, but Wonersh put on a very defendable 151. However, Headley’s opener came out and scored 65, returning after retirement, which put Headley in a very good position and they were able to win the game off the very last ball.
The two teams from Churt faced off against each other. Churt “Indoor” won the toss and chose to bowl. They did not have to bowl for very long as they quickly bowled out their clubmate “Cobras” for just 49 off 5.2 overs and chased it down quickly in 4.2 overs.

SURREY SLAM ICL- JUNIOR DIVISION 1
At the top of the league are T20 Community Academy Knights team who are one of the two teams yet to lose a game and looking really strong. They set a big total of 109 against Tadworth CC for the loss of just one wicket. Openers Rayyan Ali and Lewis Wallbank were both retired not out and kicked off the run scoring on a positive note. Tadworth were all out for 59.
In the middle of the pack, we have the T20 Community Academy Eagles and T20 Community Academy Surfers, both teams level on 4 points; Eagles have played just once. They set the highest score we have seen in the league so far with 136, a special mention to Sam Butler who retired on 26 off just 11 deliveries which is also one of the highest strike rates in the league.
Bringing up the rear, we have the T20 Community Academy Cobras and Tadworth who are still yet to get off the mark. Due to play each other on Sunday, the game has been postponed so the players can watch the England World Cup game!
SURREY SLAM ICL- JUNIOR DIVISION 2 Top of the league Horsley & Send CC are the only team yet to be beaten and are proving to be a challenging opponent to all teams. In their last fixture they scored 176 runs for 4 off their 12 overs with three players retiring, however they did get a helping hand with 77 extras.
It is still pretty close throughout the table as no team is out of the running and can easily turn their luck around and start to gradually make their way up the table.
