Godalming played Headley in an effort to keep their 100% win rate in the league. Headley won the toss and chose to field, Godalming batted very well as a team as 4 of their batters scored 25+ and they were able to put up a score of 154 off their full 12 overs. This total proved too much for Headley as they were bowled out in the 9th over for 74. This means Godalming as still on top of the table by 8 points.
Wonersh won the toss against Churt Cobras and sent them out to field which has not been done a lot in the indoor league. This proved to be a game changing call as Wonersh were bowled out for 91 in the 11th over. Churt Cobras has an easy chase and cruised to the win in 7 overs.
SURREY SLAM ICL- DOWNSEND
BEC Old Boys played Guilford Phoenix and won the toss. They chose to bat first and put a very good scored on the board with good performances from the opening three batsmen, taking them to 152 off their 12 overs. The Phoenix didn’t do enough with the bat and fell short with 110 off their 12 overs.
Chessington School played the T20 Surrey Academy and won the toss, electing to bat first. They played a 10 over game instead of the set 12 overs due to a late start, in which Chessington put 93 runs on the board meaning the T20 Surrey Academy team would have to go at a fast rate to win the game. They did not manage to reach 93 but ended up 10 short with 83 off their 10 overs.
SURREY SLAM ICL- CROYDON
There is still one more game to play in the Croydon league however it will not affect the league positioning as the Simba Six team have won the league, Croydon Chargers will come in second and Croydon CC will bring up the rear.
SURREY SLAM ICL- WIMBLEDON As the indoor season draws to a close, Old Hamptonians CC end up on top of the Wednesday table winning the league. They end up with 7 wins and 2 losses with 28 points, they were strong throughout the weeks, and this is just reward for their performances. With Spencer a close second, they battled hard and ended up just 4 points below Old Hamptonians CC.
Azaad saw a quick rise through the standings in the later weeks going from 5th to 3rd. They won 2 out of their last three games and with them finishing the league off well they will have much more confidence moving into future events.
We have three teams tied on 16 points in 4th position: Kingstonian CC, Wimbledon Corinthians CC and Roehampton CC. Unfortunately for Wimbledon Corinthians they have been unable to push on and have fallen down the table as they haven’t picked up points for the last three weeks.
Guys & St Thomas’s Hospital won the Thursday league finishing unbeaten and were dominant through the tournament. In a close second St. George’s University who only lost to the league winners. It was a very close game between the two teams, so the league came down to Guys & St Thomas’s Hospital scoring off the last ball of the game.
All other teams hovered around their same position that they have maintained through the weeks although Guys & St Thomas’s Hospital B team did manage to get up to 8th and not finish last. St George’s University B team ended up in last position.
