Twenty20 Surrey Cricket Men's Indoor League: what happened last year?!

Wimbledon were the 2016/17 champions, emerging through a tough Outer London Division and 3 knockout matches. In fact, they finished unbeaten throughout the entire season...10 games in total!

Other notable performers were Hampton Wick Royal CC, who sadly missed out at the final hurdle for a second year running.

Indoor drama!

There were several incredibly tight matches - high scoring thrillers, low-scoring nail-biters, and victories snatched from the jaws of defeat.

Probably the most exciting finish was in the Surrey semi-final between Hampton Wick and Dorking. The former ended up winning, thanks to last-man heroics in the final over. But that only tells half the story, with a flurry of half-chances and almost-run outs that, on another day (or with Hawkeye or Slow-motion replays), could have tilted the contest the other way. This game had a noteworthy incident practically every ball!

At the other end of the scoring scale, St George's College - after bowling Chaldon out for less than 60 - may have believed their match was done and dusted....until Chaldon's fielders produced 3 outstanding catches to leave them reeling. The final pair was required to steady a sinking ship, and dug them out of trouble....not without moments of fortune!

Videos & match reports

It was one of the most exciting seasons yet. And fortunately, we managed to capture much of the action on our "umpire cams"!

We had thrills.....

Spills.....

Moments of brilliance.....

And heroic efforts.....

Expect more action to be broadcast on the Twenty20 Community Cricket YouTube channel. We will be frequently producing a Match Of The Day, Plays Of The Week, and written match reports.

Good luck, everyone!
