Twenty20 Academy stun Farnham in first game of the season
The Twenty20 Cricket Academy "A" team pulled off a brilliant win in their first game of the season against a strong Farnham side at their beautiful castle ground.
Batting first, the hosts quickly found themselves 21-3 thanks to 2 wickets from Henry Francis, both in his first over, and a run out.
The home side recovered to 66 before they lost the 4th wicket but quickly found themselves 7 down for just 69 thanks to tight bowling from man of the match Elliot Moore who took 3-13 after starting the collapse with a brilliant boundary catch.
Sailesh Chopra pulled off a caught & bowled from a fierce shot from Farnham captain Angus Watson and Kieran Meah finished off the innings, all out for just 90 off 15.2 overs of a 30 over game.
In reply, Freddie Ferro and Shree Rajkumar started very steadily putting on 49 for the first wicket before the running between the discipline started to collapse. Two needless run outs were the only negative on a great display with the team knocking off the runs in 18 overs.
