Epsom half term cricket camp weathers all conditions
Twenty20 Community Cricket defied all the elements as they held their May half term camp at Epsom Cricket Club during the week Tuesday 31st May to Friday 3rd June 2016.
It was a week which saw all types of weather and posed something of an organisational challenge, but the team rode the storm and everyone enjoyed a great four days of school holiday cricket.
Tuesday's first day had to get creative when the poor weather hit. The morning tested the participant knowledge of cricket with a quiz and some retro ashes memories. As the weather abated we managed to get outside with some small sided games and drills.
Wednesday thankfully saw some better weather. The players were split into three groups for batting skills ranging in from power hitting to defending the ball and skill-based games before lunch. After lunch and a heated debate about a World Test XI we broke off into games for the afternoon with teams trailing the new FIT cricket idea.
