Baneasa CC win Romania Shamsher Trophy

Here are the results of the season-opening Cupa Romaniei Shamsher Singh competition, held the weekend of 14-15 May, won by Baneasa CC for winning each of its three matches:

Match 1: TCC 149 (Nitesh Jaiswal 57, Mahesh Hingorani 21, Raj Arjun 2-6) beat Cricket Timis 142-6 (Saatwik Nadigotla 62, Shekhar Asthana 3-22) by 7 runs.

Match 2: BCC 166-6 (Saad Mohsin 37, Shiv Kumar 37, Ijaz Hussain 36) beat UCC 96 (Vicky Manani 29, Shantanu Vashisht 24, Irfan Ramay 3-19) by 70 runs

Match 3: Cricket Timis 124 (Waqar Yusuf 23, Umair Mir 3-20, Supinder Singh 3-25) lost to BCC 126-1 (Ijaz Hussain 61*, Zeeshan Mazhar 25, Raj Arun 1-9) by 9 wickets.

Match 4: TCC 70 (Sami Ullah 20, Ramesh Satheesan 2-8, Rajesh Kumar 2-12) lost to UCC 74-0 (Ramesh Satheesan 28*, Sandeep Chadaga 19*) by 10 wickets.

Match 5: Cricket Timis 147-7 (Sharmilan Mahalingum 65, Ramesh Satheesan 3-29) lost to UCC 153-7 (Sandeep Chadaga 43, Aftab Kayani 27*, Shiva Kumar 3-23) by three wickets.

Match 6: BCC 197-7 (Waseem Khan 40, Ijaz Hussain 36, Supinder Singh 35*, Abdul Shakoor 34*, Nitesh Jaiswal 2-26) beat TCC 145-9 (Asif Bevinje 60, Lokesh Ashiwal 22, Abid Khawaja 2-17) by 51 runs.
