First League Game for Munich Women
Match reports: Munich Women's Cricket vs. Royal Brussels Cricket Club

League Game 1
The newly found Munich Women's Cricket team, who had been training since last summer had their first ever league game on the 15th of April. They faced the ladies from RBCC in their first ever Bundesliga South match on the beautiful Tegernsee ground. MWC won the toss and elected to bat. Daao Stefanie Mix (14) and Claudia Balogh (20) made a great start. Anne Bierwisch(9) contributed as well and Monique Theron (19) andRephanie Schohnmayer (2) finished off the innings with a total score of 105. In the second innings the MWC ladies all got an opportunity with the ball. The scoring was slow but Nicky Thrupp(23) and R. Lister (7) stood their ground until finally in the 11th over the first wicket fell. From then on wickets kept coming and RBCC only managed 67 runs after 20 overs. MWC won by 38 runs. Claudia Balogh, Vijaya Mahesh, Daao Stefanie Mix,Julia Bonnet, Rephanie Schohnmayer and Koula Lee each took one wicket making it a true team effort.

League Game 2
After drinks and some Brezn for lunch the second game started and MWC decided to field first. Wickets started falling in the 15th over. A great bowling performance let to two wickets for Daao Stefanie Mix, Claudia Baloghh and Milena Beresford and one each for L. Sleath, Vijaya Maheshand Koula Lee. RBCC managed to put 53 runs on the board for 9 wickets. The batting was opened by Alisha Srivastava and Vijaya Mahesh(22*). It took the team only 9.1 overs to reach the required runs for 3 wickets. MWC won the match by 7 wickets. After a great day of cricket both teams enjoyed each other's company over a Bavarian dinner. MWC are looking forward to the return matches on the 18th of June.
