Easter success for Twenty20 Cricket Camps
Easter is a time of sun (sometimes), school holidays, chocolate and….. excitement about cricket!
And this Easter was no different - the 2016 cricket season is underway!!
While many are just brushing off their pads now, our Twenty20 Cricket Camps players have been outdoors training for a week, will be one step ahead in their quest to score runs and take wickets in the coming months.
During the Easter school holidays, Twenty20 Community Cricket staged Camps held at Gordon’s School in Woking and Hampton Wick Royal CC.
Twenty20 Cricket Camps provide genuine cricket coaching for any standard or age of player. At a time when many are only beginning to look towards the Summer season, attendance was excellent – with over 30 children at each venue coming along and enthusiastic to learn.
Come the end of the week, and our soft ball players (aged 6-9 years) were all demonstrating the skills they had developed in 30 hours of practice! Our coaches helped each person to instil the basics, with a mixture of training, and fun games. The boys kept their focus (and spirits) brilliantly, over the long day, and improved lots as a result!
The hard ball cricketers (aged 9-14 years) were given plenty of intensive training, with demanding batting and bowling drills, and competitive net sessions. Our 3 Level II coaches challenged and pushed the children on their core skills, tactics, and game awareness....all the tools they will need to hit the ground running in the new club season!
As we all know, springtime isn't the most.....reliable month, weather wise. However, come rain or shine, cricket appropriate activities were arranged.

Coming up.....
Twenty20 will be almost a permanent fixture in the school holidays, with cricket camps at many locations across Surrey in nearly every week of summer 2016.
We will also have cricket camps on the Warwickshire/Northamptonshire border near Rugby in July and August.
If your child enjoys cricket, but doesn't have much experience, don't worry! Our coaches have plenty experience helping beginners to find their feet.
Boys and girls are more than welcome to join up too!
Before the long summer holidays kick in, we have three Cricket Camps during the May half term holidays. They will be at Epsom CC, Hampton Wick Royal CC and Gordon’s School in Woking, running from 31st May to 3rd June
