Wandgas CC end Surrey Twenty 20 Junior Indoor League season with handsome win

The final match of the 2015-16 Surrey Twenty20 Junior Indoor Cricket Leagues at Richard Challoner School saw Wandgas CC Under 15s end the season with a fine win.
They faced Southborough High School and their six wicket win cemented their third place in the overall standings.
Batting first, Southborough High made 48 for 6 (all out) in 7.5 overs with Jegathees Thiruchenthurnathan contributing 20 of those runs, as the early blitz of three wickets for only five runs from Wandgas’ Tom Lillywhite accounted for the top order.
In reply, Wandgas took 6.2 overs to reach their target, making 51 without loss. Franco Dean retired not out on 26 with Rory Boyd also unbeaten on 10.
Scorecard here:
The win for Wandgas had little bearing on the final outcome of the Under 15 indoor league, which was won convincingly by Tiffin School Under 15s. They have dominated the league this winter, winning 10 of their games and losing only once, as well as playing out a tie ironically with Wandgas.
Their haul of 140 points was 47 clear of runners-up Ripley CC Under 14s with Wandgas a mere three points further back in third.
