Tiffin School on brink of Under 15 Indoor League success
Tiffin School put themselves on the verge of winning the Under 15 Division of the Surrey Twenty20 Junior Indoor League after another victory at Richard Challoner School on Friday evening.
Their success over Ripley CC Under 14s cemented their position at the top of the table with only one game left for them to play, which comes this Friday where should they win they could wrap up the title.
Tiffin batted first against Ripley and made 150 for 3 off their allotted 15 overs. Dillan Goss and Max Haughton retired not out on 38 and 28 respectively, Nabeel Shahpurwala added 22 and Ethan Mitchell chipped in with 19 to set a competitive target.
Ripley made a good fight of things in reply, making 136 for 5 at the close of their 15 overs. Josh Thomas retired not out on 43 this after Olly Govey and James Bell got their innings off to a useful start with contributions of 28 and 22 respectively. The evening’s other Under 15 game saw a comfortable victory for Southborough High School over Tiffin School Under 14.

In reply, Southborough High School too advantage of the gaps in the field to make light work of reaching their victory target, making 61 for 1 in only five overs. Ibrahim Mir retired on 25 not out, before Jack Westley with 23 saw his side to the win.
