Madrid Cricket Club is to be relocated at Polo Club Haras.

After fifteen years of playing home matches in Murcia, Madrid CC is delighted to announce that from the start of April 2016, the club will be based at Polo Club Haras in San Fernando de Henares, a short drive from the centre of Madrid.

A three year contract has been signed for the use of the facilities which includes a grass playing surface maintained by the Polo Club, and the installation of practice nets.

Madrid CC field two teams that play in the first and second divisions of the Central and Eastern Spanish leagues. It is a multicultural club featuring members from over 10 different nations that promotes school cricket in and around Madrid.

For the last ten years their April charity tournament in La Manga has attracted teams from around the world, raising money for sports based NGOs and the promotion of cricket in Spain.

By most measures cricket is the number two sport in the world and although largely unknown in Spain, with the establishment of the new ground, Madrid Cricket Club hopes to offer many more people the opportunity to learn and play the game.
