Six out of six for Wimbledon in Surrey Twenty20 Junior Indoor Cricket League


Wimbledon CC Under 13s made it six out of six with another victory in the Surrey Twenty20 Junior Indoor Cricket League.

Their latest success at Richard Challoner School came against Thames Ditton CC Under 13s by virtue of a 97 run win.

Batting first, Wimbledon made 145 for 6 (all out) off 14.5 overs. Charlie Wolff making 45, Wilf Morris 29 and Pravin Kiritharan 21 in their innings. Soloman Ransi taking 2 for 20 and Kian Farr 2 for 24.

In reply, only Oliver Lodge was able to offer any resistance against the Wimbledon attack as he top scored with 18 out of Thames Ditton’s 48 for 6 (all out) in 9.2 overs. Pranav Khera’s figures of 3 for 8 instrumental in their downfall.

Friday night’s other Under 13 game was a little closer as Epsom CC edged out Southborough High

School by 14 runs.

Batting first, Epsom set a target of 125 for 6 (all out); their last wicket to fall coming on completion of their 15 overs. Fraser Buchan-Davies and George Beswick both making 19, although Epsom’s total did benefit from some 60 runs coming in extras.
