Primary State School Development Academies

Our Primary School Cricket Development Academies programmes are at the entry level of our pathway.

They have 5 main aims:-

  • To produce more and better equipped secondary school cricketers with greater experience of cricket

  • Increase migration to local cricket clubs - all pupils taking part will be introduced to their local cricket club

  • Improve the legacy of cricket at primary state schools

  • Encourage earlier hard ball cricket through local tournaments

  • To help more state school children progress into representative level cricket

The programme is open to year Key Stage 2 pupils with the aim of having a maximum of 14 in the programme each year.

The coaching is run by our DBS checked Academy coaching team.

There are 60 minute sessions of training after school throughout the school year or 45-60 minutes of training before school

This is a whole year programme but schools may elect to start for the first time in any term, subject to a full academic year commitment thereafter.
