Surrey state school only cricket programme starts fourth year next month

The Surrey Slam Schools programme for young state school cricketers re-starts in September. There are several hub sites across Surrey where young cricketers in years 4-8 next school year can get additional training from our team of coaches. Training takes place across the winter months and then over school holidays next year. Twenty20 Cricket Academy 5 a side net league final round update

The Gekos won the final 5 v 5 net league group beating both the Hyenas and Ibis by a convincing margin. The final group match proved very exciting, coming down to the very last ball. Hyenas were the eventual winners by just 3 runs, bringing an end to the series which was introduced to provide some competitive cricket until matches re-start. Twenty20 Cricket Academy 5 a side net league 2nd round update

Controversy in the second round of 5 a side net league matches as a count back showed that the Dingoes had WON their second game of the day against the Foxes, not lost. A handwriting error showed that they had actually scored 8 more runs than previously thought leaving them winners of the match and their group, having been the Eagles in their first match. Twenty20 Cricket Academy 5 a side net league begins

The 5 a side Twenty20 Cricket Academy net league competition kicked off today with three of the 9 teams taking part playing against each other in Group 1. The Bulldogs won the group with commanding victories against both the Alligators and Crows, who played out a last ball thriller with the Alligators just coming out on top. 2020 Summer Cricket Camps - Bookings open

We're delighted to announce we will be running our camps this summer at Weybridge Cricket Club, Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club and Bagshot Cricket Club. We are also hoping to add Epsom Cricket Club in the next few days. We are sure many of you will be desperate to squeeze in as much cricket as you can having had none in April & May. To enable social distancing, we will be running three 2-hour sessions each day in small groups, each with a coach. Bookings can be made online.

Twenty20 Cricket Academy Socially Distanced Net League Round up

Three matches have taken place since our last update, all in the Senior League. On Saturday Nick J and Matt A played out a great close match, with Matt A coming out on top by just 11 runs. Stanley M was finally defeated last night as Sam P left with a clean sweep of matches. In the first game, after a promising start, Rafe W collapsed to 27-7 against Stanley who scored 82-5 despite some excellent bowling from Rafe. Stanley M continued his fine unbeaten form seeing off brothers Bhuv and Sailesh last night in the Socially Distanced Senior Net League. In the first game Stanley bowled skillfully to keep Bhuv to just 36-4 before taking 94-1 off Bhuv's rusty left arm spin.
