Cricket Academy to launch at Ernest Bevin College

Twenty20 Cricket Company are pleased to announce that from September 2016 they will be running a Cricket Academy at Ernest Bevin College for students studying in its Sixth Form. The new Academy follow a similar model that has been running at the college for a number of years in that it allows young sportsmen to combine training with their academic studies. Boys in Years 7-11 at the College already benefit from an excellent cricket programme which includes indoor nets during the winter months and a full programme of both indoor and outdoor cricket fixtures. 21 days is all it is until the start of Twenty20 Community Cricket’s 2016 Summer Smash Cricket Camps. Across the five weeks of Monday 18th July through to Friday 19th August, we have 15 of our Summer Smash Cricket Camps scheduled in eight venues around Surrey and in Warwickshire. Our Summer Smash Cricket Camps are designed for boys and girls aged 5-15 years with plenty of fun and action to keep everyone happy and active. Older/more experienced players will learn some of the skills from the Twenty 20 format of the game and put them into daily hardball match practice. New 1-2-1 sessions available

Twenty20 Community Cricket now have new availability for our popular 1-2-1 sessions. Our 1-2-1 sessions are designed to work on and fine tune any aspects of your child’s game they may require, especially with the second half of the season in mind. These 60 minute sessions are now available on Saturday mornings at Shrewsbury House School in Surbiton. We have a three week block of sessions available for Saturday 25th June, 2nd and 9th July at either 10.00 or 11.00am, with all sessions required to be booked in advance. Twenty20 Academy fall short at Valley End

Twenty Academy U13 vs Valley End CC Having lost the toss and been put into bat, Twenty20 started brightly, with debutant Nathan Jones and Tiam Afar putting on 24 runs o the first 3 overs, and left T20 at 43 for 1 from the first eight overs. However wickets then started to fall at regular intervals on a tricky two paced pitch, leaving the Academy at 64 for 6 at the half way stage. A steady but effective rebuilding job was put together by Jonathan Sturch-Hibbit and Joshil Patel, putting on a 48 run partnership, allowing the Academy to post a target of 123, something that gave them a chance to defend. Epsom half term cricket camp weathers all conditions

Twenty20 Community Cricket defied all the elements as they held their May half term camp at Epsom Cricket Club during the week Tuesday 31st May to Friday 3rd June 2016. It was a week which saw all types of weather and posed something of an organisational challenge, but the team rode the storm and everyone enjoyed a great four days of school holiday cricket. Tuesday's first day had to get creative when the poor weather hit. The morning tested the participant knowledge of cricket with a quiz and some retro ashes memories.
