On the back of our hugely popular and successful Cricket Camps in previous years, 2016 will be the fourth summer we will be at the pretty village club, based near Rugby in Warwickshire. The club is a stone's throw (or long throw-in from the boundary) away from the Northamptonshire county border. As a result our Camps attract young cricketers from across both sides of the border, Rugby, Daventry, the local surrounding area and as far away as Coventry, Leamington Spa, and Warwick for five days of skills and matches. Bavarian Youth International Championships

The annual Bavarian international youth championships were held on the 12th and 13th of March was a slightly smaller event compared to previous years due to some last minute withdrawals and the loss of the second hall. Nonetheless, it was again a fantastic event with teams from Hessen and Austria visiting to compete in a soft ball section for youngsters and a hard ball section for the U16s. In the soft ball section, Austria and Munich ended up blurring team lines by fielding constantly mixed teams for their games, epitomising one of the goals of this tournament, namely that the youth should play in great spirit and make new friendships. In the hard ball section, things got tense between Hess

Star CC win Thriller!

Star CC win Grand Final after last over thriller! What a game to finish the tournament that was. AIL CC were put into bat and started well. Tony Whiteman used his experience to get to 45 not out and skipper Nishit added 22 and David Robson 18. But 6 run outs cut the innings apart and it ended on 132 all out with an over to spare. In reply, Star CC kept cool and gradually accumulated runs with Shiva hitting 26 and Pranjul's big shots getting him to 33. But the pressure mounted and Star still needed 40 off the last 4 overs. However this pressure also translated to the bowlers and extras kept coming. In the end, only 2 runs were needed from the last over but Vijayanand ended the match and tourn

Luxembourg update on Tournament

LCF International Cricket for the Summer of 2016 Luxembourg has been invited to an International T20 tournament that is being hosted by the Hungarian Cricket Federation. We will likely depart Luxembourg the afternoon of Wed 27th of July and return to Lux during Monday the 1st Aug. There will be 5 or 6 international teams competing. As the ICC has stopped providing funding to these tournaments (they may be helping in other ways…umpires etc), to participate we need to cover the cost of travel, subsistence and accommodation ourselves. The LCF has kindly offered to utilise some of its ICC funds as a subsidy towards the costs but it is envisaged that each selected player will need to contribute a

Heligoland win in Hamburg

ERDINGER Alkoholfrei Hanseatik Cup goes to Heligoland Pilgrims Seagulls. Although Heligoland Pilgrims Gannets topped the table after the round robin games, they were no match for the Seagulls in the final. Directed by Cam, the Pilgrims' selected Seagulls, reinforced by Charlie from THCC's ladies team and Till from THCC's U15, swept away Steve's Gannets with THCC's Avni and Niklas like a tornado in less than 5.5 of their allotted 8 overs. The foundation of this tidal win had been laid in the first innings when the Seagulls had restricted the Gannets to 97 all out, producing lots of run-outs. Once the Seagulls' openers had reached 50 in the third over, fuelled by some ERDINGER beer, it was cle
