It has been put together following coaching trips overseas over the last 5 years. Twenty20 Community Cricket chief opens BTCL Cricket Academy

Twenty20 Community Cricket Managing Director, Darren Talbot, had the honour of opening the first BTCL Cricket Academy on Sunday at Sutton Grammar School. The Academy, set up by the British Tamil Cricket League, is open to all communities and will be mirrored with other launches to follow in Essex and Middlesex. Twenty20 Community Cricket are running the coaching at the Surrey venue which takes place on Sunday evenings from 5.15-7.15pm at Sutton Grammar School.

Swedish Cricket Federation announce new national coaching team

The Swedish Cricket Federation have announced that former England A bowler Paul Hutchison has agreed to be Head Coach of the Swedish National Team. The deal will also see RomWear, Hutchison's company, become the official clothing supplier to SCF and Team Sweden for another 3 years. SCF has announced that David Williman has been appointed as National Youth Development Officer, Assistant National Team Coach and Head Selector for the national team. SCF has also announce the selection committee for WCL Europe Div.2, to be held in Stockholm in August, which will comprise SCF's seam bowling coach and former France and Sweden International player Serge Conein and former Sweden International Way

Wimbledon CC made it eight wins from eight games to cement their position as leaders of the Surrey Twenty20 Indoor Cricket League Under 13 division at Richard Challoner School. Their latest victims were Southborough High School who were beaten by 89 runs. Batting first, Wimbledon set another big total for their opponents to chase, racking up 152 for 6 (all out) in exactly 15 overs. Pravin Kiritharan with 28, Robert Muir with 27 and Mike Anderson with 22 their main run scorers, with an additional 57 runs coming in extras. Three new cricket pitches in Rome

Preparation is under way for the 2016 Season with the creation of three new cricket pitches in the new multi-sports facility in the Roma Uno Sport Center, in Trastevere in the heart of Rome. Practice will start in February with a focus on fitness and fielding.

Report of Swiss Women's training session

Mansi Patel has given a report of the Swiss Women's practice session in Zurich on Saturday 9th January 2016. "Saturday 9 o'clock we started the training with a quick warm up. After the warm up we paired up and got a bat and a big ball. The point of this was hitting the ball as straight as you can. Soon after we had to try and balance the ball on the bat while hitting it up and down. Then we got to practice our bowling. By that time the under 11s were done with their training session and wanted to play against the girls. So we set up the hall and the girls started batting. The under 11s were determined to win! Tiffin School continued their impressive progress in the Surrey Twenty20 Junior Indoor Cricket League at Richard Challoner School by securing two wins on Friday night. They came in both the Under 13 and Under 15 leagues, with the older team continuing to dominate the Under 15 league. First up was Tiffin School Under 13s who leapfrogged opponents Epsom CC after a 30 run victory. Batting first, Tiffin made 105 for 6 (all out) in 11.2 overs. News on Spain's preparations for ICC Europe Division 2

With unseasonal weather continuing to bless the area, The Murcia region of the Spanish Cricket National and Academy players used the opportunity to have their first training session of the year. 2016 is massively important year for Spanish Cricket as it aims to obtain promotion to ICC WCL European Division 1. To achieve this they will be participating in a T20 International tournament in Stockholm, Sweden this August, where the winners will be promoted. The players will be attending regular training sessions in the area to help them maintain and improve their fitness, skill and technique. Germany to play ICC Europe warm-up games in Netherlands in June

The opposition will be tough with games against Netherlands A, Denmark and France. The national team squad will arrive early for a training camp with national team coach Steven Knox. With regards to the selection of the squad, indoor training is being organised in all regions at the moment for the Super Series squads who will then play inter-regional trial matches at the beginning of the outdoor season leading to the Super Series teams. The national team players will be selected from these players.

Hampton Wick Royal CC and AZ Sports are through to the Surrey ECB Mens Indoor League County Play-off Finals after recording convincing victories on Sunday evening. In their play-off eliminators, Hampton Wick Royal progressed at the expense of Horsley and Send CC Lions, whilst AZ Sports accounted for Spencer CC. Spain preparations for ICC WCL Europe Division 2 underway

Spain will take part in this years ICC World Cricket League - Europe Division Two and the hosts for the tournament will be Sweden. Spain will be grouped with the hosts Sweden, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Israel and Germany. The tournament will take place in Stockholm from the 16th to 21st August. Teams will arrive at the Swedish capital on the 16th and depart on the 21st. The event will be played in a single round robin format of T20 matches where everyone will play each other once. ICC Europe Division 2 to be hosted in Sweden

This is a pathway event to the World Cricket League and to the Cricket World Cup. Promotion would see teams play in Division 1 in 2017. The teams involved are Sweden, Germany, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Israel and Spain.

Narrow win for WOCC/ISL in Luxembourg indoor league

CSK won the toss and chose to bat and set off like a rocket reaching 66 off 6 overs without loss. Ananth Srisailapathy and Salai Sekaran both batted extremely well until WOCC/ISL fought back. France cricket is recruiting students to form a France schools team to participate in the first world cup of upper schools that will be held in Mumbai (India) from 11 to 19 December 2016. Players must be born between 1998 and 2000 and enrolled in a school in France who is a UNSS member for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
